In the last episode, you successfully helped Mr. John create a clear Job Description, or JD. You felt proud. You knew exactly who you were looking for. So, you went back to your desk, copied that JD, posted it on Facebook, and waited.

One day passed. Two days passed."

"Nothing. No emails. No phone calls. Or maybe, just a few CVs from people who didn't even read your post. The office is silent. But the silence doesn't last long."

"It is Friday morning. Mr. John comes back to your desk. And this time, he doesn't look stressed. He looks disappointed."

"Hey... it’s been three days. Where is my Superman? Why is nobody applying? I checked the post, and it’s so boring! Is our salary too low? Or is our company not famous enough?"

"You feel a knot in your stomach. You think: 'Boring? But I posted exactly what we wrote in the JD! Responsibilities, requirements, everything is there. Why isn't it working? Did I make a mistake?'"

"Freeze! Let’s analyze this.

Here is the mistake that 90% of new HR professionals make: Confusing a JD with a Job Posting.

Think about a restaurant."

2:10 DEEP DIVE: THE AIDA MINDSET

  • 📜 The JD is the "Recipe" inside the kitchen. It tells the cook exactly how much salt and sugar to use. It is technical and dry.
  • 🍽️ The Job Posting is the "Menu" outside the door. It must look delicious. It must make people hungry!

"You posted the Recipe. You told them what they have to do. But candidates don't care about your tasks yet. They care about: 'What is in it for me?'

To fix this, we need to use a marketing formula called AIDA. It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. But let's keep it simple: Don't just list tasks. Sell the opportunity."

"Let’s upgrade your vocabulary for writing a great job ad. Please repeat after me."

1. Candidate

Meaning: This is a person who applies for a job. Don't call them "workers" or "staff" in your professional report yet.

2. Competitive Salary
🗣️ Repeat: ... [Pause] ...

Meaning: This means the salary is as good as, or better than, other companies in the market. It is a magic phrase to attract people.

3. Benefits Package
🗣️ Repeat: ... [Pause] ...

Meaning: This includes extra things the company gives, like insurance, free lunch, or a gym membership.

"Now, armed with these words, let’s rewrite the post for Mr. John. You delete the old one. You take a deep breath, and you write a new one using the 'Menu' mindset."

Tư duy "Bán Lợi Ích" (Sell the Benefits)

Ứng viên thường lướt qua bài đăng rất nhanh. Thay vì dùng câu "You have to manage foreign accounts" (Bạn phải quản lý tài khoản nước ngoài), hãy đổi thành "Chance to connect with Global Clients" (Cơ hội kết nối với khách hàng toàn cầu).

Ứng dụng AIDA trong tuyển dụng

Attention (Gây chú ý bằng Title hấp dẫn) -> Interest (Tạo hứng thú bằng Benefits) -> Desire (Khơi gợi khao khát bằng môi trường làm việc/Lộ trình thăng tiến) -> Action (Kêu gọi hành động: Apply Now!).

Lưu ý phát âm (Pronunciation)

Hãy cẩn thận với trọng âm: Can-di-date (nhấn âm 1: /ˈkændɪdət/), và Com-PET-i-tive (nhấn âm 2: /kəmˈpetɪtɪv/). Việc phát âm chuẩn sẽ giúp bạn tự tin hơn rất nhiều khi phỏng vấn bằng tiếng Anh!
